Daikin requires a Coating & Corrosion Protection Technician to be part of the growth of our service team, responsible for the hands-on application, inspection, and ongoing technical management of anti-corrosion coating systems and CNC operation.

You will bring a minimum of three years industry experience in anti-corrosion products, surface preparation, quality control, and the ability to interpret and apply coating specifications including pratical technical experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application of anti-corrosion coating systems on various Daikin products, in accordance with manufacturer and industry specifications
• Disassembly and re-assembly of Daikin products to enable coating access and application
• Development, trialling and optimisation of anti-corrosion coating application processes
• Demonstration of disassembly, reassembly and coating processes for customers and internal stakeholders
• Development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for treated components
• Development of inspection protocols to monitor corrosion over time, including failure analysis
• Implementation and maintenance of digital tracking systems for coating and maintenance history
• Day-to-day technical leadership and guidance of a small team carrying out treatment and maintenance work
• Management of chemicals, coatings and spare parts required for treatment and maintenance activities
• Ensuring safe storage of, and compliance with, hazardous material regulations
• Contributing to and helping maintain environmental policies for chemical use and waste disposal
• Day to Day CNC Cutter Operation including preparation, cutting, installation and packing based on demand

Technical Competencies:

• Practical, hands-on knowledge of industrial coating systems, surface preparation and corrosion protection methods
• Working and industry knowledge of current HVAC systems
• Ability to disassemble and reassemble HVAC systems/products for anti-corrosion coating application
• Ability to read and apply coating specifications and relevant industry standards (e.g. NACE/AMPP, FROSIO, ISO, SSPC)
